refbook cements partnership with officials’ education and training company, Officiating Collective.

Refbook has signed a multi-year partnership with Officiating Collective (OC), Australia's largest and fastest-growing private organisation dedicated to improving the training, development and culture of sports officials and their federations.

As the OC’s recommended officials management software, the partnership will see refbook and Officiating Collective work together on a number of special projects, including benefits for each company’s respective customers.

refbook Head of Commercial, Jon Chapman, said this partnership links two Australian-based specialist companies that are dedicated to improving the sports officiating industry.

“We recognised the OC as becoming a significant player in the officiating market, and there are a number of synergies between our commitments to sports officiating,” Chapman said. “This partnership will be a platform for each company to grow its client base and product offering to an under-served segment of sport. The OC is redefining the way officials and their federations access specialist resources to enhance training and development, including a network of world-renowned Australian officiating experts. With both companies on an upward trajectory, we can’t wait for our combined customer network to gain exponential value.”

Officiating Collective Managing Director, Ash Synnott, said;

"the Officiating Collective are extremely excited about the opportunity to work with the team at refbook. We can’t wait to partner with another organisation that displays the same passion and drive to develop and support sports officials. With significant growth in both organisations, we can only see the benefits for our client base, and are excited about the possibilities of what we can develop and deliver together."

OC was co-founded by Ash Synnott, one of Australia’s most connected sports administrators including developing the AIS officiating scholarship program, and Steve Clark, a 25-year veteran referee with Australia’s NRL. For it’s growing list of federation and individual members, the OC delivers market-leading officiating resources. This includes access to experienced specialist official’s coaches and ambassadors, including Hayden Kennedy and Scott Jeffrey (former AFL), Clare Polosak (ICC/Cricket Australia), Donna Kelso and Tom Sweeney (WTA), Jarrod Cole (NRL), Jacqui Dover (NBL) and Simon Taufel (former ICC).

The Officiating Collective’s current cliental include Swimming Australia, Hockey Australia, Volleyball Australia, Softball Australia, Tennis Australia, Tennis NZ and Auckland Rugby Referees.
